A business, not a charity
SDC is a commercial company and intends to stay sustainable. Revenue should pay for a useful, fair service: moderation, verification, support and better tools. It should never come from confusion or pressure.
Free today, priced fairly later
Joining, browsing and messaging are free within token limits. Future monetisation is planned, but pricing and timing have not been announced.

SDC is a growing Australian community. We do not publish inflated numbers, and we will not promise members matches or investors outcomes.

A note on inspiration
Building something people actually use.
SDC is a separate, independent business. Part of what inspires it is the entrepreneurial vision of Andrey Andreev, who founded Badoo and showed how much a dating product can grow when it is built well. We admire his business-building ability and ambition.
Andreev also provided early investment and operational backing to Bumble, which was founded in 2014 by Whitney Wolfe Herd. He helped launch the company and exited in 2019; Bumble went on to reach a multi-billion-dollar valuation at its public listing in 2021, led by Wolfe Herd.
